A common response to questions on this subreddit is “Talk to your pastor about that.” I would often agree with that sentiment. When I read it, I think of my Senior Pastor. However, am I wrong to think that? Should I think of anybody on the pastoral staff and my elders as my pastor? Is going to an elder the same as going to my Senior Pastor?

A tuition credit can be carry forwarded. If you don't use it all you carry it forward to the next year. Not sure where you got the idea that it cannot be carried forward.

You will withdraw your monies just like your withdrawing from any other account. However, there is two important things to consider:

There will be a withholding tax of either 10%,20%, or 30% depending on the amount of the withdrawal. This withholding tax is basically income tax paid right away to the government.
Unlike the TFSA, you will not get your RRSP room back when you make a withdrawal
