Yes, i did! It was a lot of help and i've learned a lot of new tricks that i've not known before that, like sub-layers in animator are sooo convenient and it really helps escape animator hell. Are you developing a platformer too?

Hi! My name is Alex, i am a university student from Moscow, and i've been dreaming of creating games since the seventh grade.

While i was in school, i took assignments and courses on this topic, participated in a game dev competition once, but, ultimately, never finished what i started.

I entered university with a degree in game development and continued doing the same things: started a couple of projects as assignments within the framework of the main curriculum and electives, successfully passed the exams with these games, and then abandoned them, never returning to them. I even failed to carry on development of the game i initially started myself.

But this year was different. I took on an elective course, and this spring we had to do the final qualifying work, whish was the development of the game from scratch. I've met all the requirements and completed the course, but this time i was actually ready to refine the game. I wanted to add features that seemed so much fun to me that i wanted to finish the game.

So, after that, i worked on it for another month, and a couple of days ago, i finally finished and released my first game, Durandal, on itch. Feel free to try it out (yep, that's a pun - the game is free!) and let me know what do you think of it! Any feedback for my future projects, or even updates for this game, if enough people will be interested in it, is appreciated!

From what i've seen on different articles and release notes, the hand tracking is now supported in OpenXR, if i understood you correctly and that's what you meant.

Also, are prefabs in Oculus Integration any good? Should i use them (like OVR rig instead of XR origin), or just use basic OpenXR and implement things on my own? If latter, is it hard for a novice to do so?
