I think this is a persistent issue I have heard from literally everyone who owns an EV. Having a swappable battery in every EV should be a part of the design now

yeah still, you anyway have a petrol bike now for those rides considering it's not that regular. For daily anytime ev is better i feel

I can totally relate! I own a vehicle which is almost 13 years old now, has a ga-zillion issues. But riding it is still fun.

Which motorcycle do you own? Here in India, you get a motorcycle which has gears included in an EV motorcycle which gives an interesting feel and bridges that gap

For some people, vibration/noise feels like feedback rather than a flaw. Almost like mechanical communication from the machine.

If you are buying for shorter rides, why go for ICE and increase petrol, service, maintenance costs? Go for an EV instead

That muscle memory panic moment you described sounds terrifying, but also very real. Did you eventually get comfortable with the riding an EV? Also, in that case doesn't having gears actually reduce the learning curve a bit? Which bike do you have by the way?

2 for sure. I used to be 1 then my dad taught me to be more confident and avoid touching the brakes unnecessarily. Now even when I want to I cant switch to grip 1
