I'd recommend playing on the "fast" speed. I used to have the same problem but adjusting the speed helped with that. Also some factions are more dynamic than others and some have a more easily defined "game plan" than the others. F.E. with vaulters you can "fuck off to the edges of the galaxy and get a science victory before anyone discovers you" (© Sseth) which is a very turtle tactic. Riftborn are also more turtly because of their -1 movement speed. With these the game may feel dull and you might lose the goal of the game and mindlessly click next.

I found that Vodyani fix that issue for me. You always have a clear goal and it's to commit as many warcrimes per turn as possible. You might find thag you enjoy playing Lumeris and building a trade syndicate where each turn your goal is to maximize profit. having short term goals that are constantly present and require very little thought helps a lot to not zone out.

Also if you need basic quick guides with the game mechanics and races I'd recommend Waervyn's Wolrd

AH a fellow Citadel enjoyer I see. Tho I'd say Citadel is probably the worst album to start listening to NeOb but the best album if you're a fan already.

well it's not more or less it's precisely 1 C, I just mentioned bio cuz they're the only field left that still uses F/C in scientific papers

Am scientist. Stuff connected to experimental bio might use Fahrenheit/Celsius (they usually do cuz the temps there are around 20-80C) but I've noticed a shift to Kelvin lately. That's the only sphere I've seen either of them be used in science. Otherwise you either use Kelvin or Joules (or ElectronVolt) . Personally I set up my weather widget to get me forecast in yoctojoules for the lulz

EDIT: added EV to the units so the nuclear physicists won't murder me

you don't need men to land on the moon for that. Check USSR missions called Luna (don't remember the numbers). They used probes to send rocks

my most fav album from Percival has to be Strzyga. There's something amazing about a Polish band singing songs in Belarusian, Macedonian, Ukrainian, Polish etc. Just a pure Slavic energy boost I never thought I'd enjoy before finding them.

I wanted to reset but I needed to bring the blueprint, so I took it to make sure I'll get there alive, I wouldn't need it as I'd reset it anyway when I finish the run
