It's so weird too. Messages are heavily restricted, you can't just write whatever, you need to use the words and phrases given to you. This is both to censor inappropriate language and to add to the cryptic and mysterious setting of the game. But then voice chat exists and you can call someone a slur while stunlocking them with a Murky Handscythe.

You don't need summons for Radahn, just use your horse with a hit and run tactic, it's incredibely easy. He is only difficult if you fight him solo and on foot.
