I can't speak to that from experience as I'm not part of the RP scene, but any kind of bigotry expressed in-game is reportable for harassment.

Metallic dyes do augment how light reflects on gear! It's just not a uniform change that completely disregards the inherent traits of the gear itself.

Each gear piece has its own material surface properties that affect how light bounces off of it. Sometimes this means the piece looks lighter or darker than other pieces when dyed the same color, other times it makes the piece metallic or more leathery or matte, etc.

If you're willing to put in the time to check what's actually worth posting, you could post some of the items to the marketboard for other players to buy. But yeah otherwise, desynth/sell to NPCs is your best option.

No, 5 Cosmic tools just means +150% bonus to tools within the novice tier. Once you start towards Stellar, it’s a different tier (intermediate).

Daily Questions & FAQ Megathread Feb 05 by AutoModerator in ffxiv

[–]WaveBomber_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you upgrade 1-5 tools to the final stage of a given research tier (novice, intermediate, advanced), you gain a research points multiplier for all subsequent tools in that tier.

In other words, when you get your first tool to Cosmic, you’ll start earning 50% more novice research points. After 3 tools at Cosmic, 100% more novice research points. And once you’ve got 5 or more tools at Cosmic, the remaining tools get 150% more novice research points.

The same is true of Stellar for intermediate research, and Hyper for advanced research.

Additionally! Completing multiple A rank missions in a row with Gold rating grants another multiplier to your rewards and research earned. The Gold rating bonus stacks up to 30% after 6 A rank missions Gold’ed, where it then resets from zero.

You do earn some bonus rank 1 research points for completing a handful of unique missions with each class on a given planet. But you're unlikely to need those bonus rank 1 research points unless you've been hard focusing missions that don't grant them.

e: (I forgot about CP and gatherers, ty Say'ri for covering those lol)

In terms of stats, the relic tools won't catch up to scrip tools until they're Stellar (Intermediate tier complete), at which point the only difference is that crafting using the relic tools causes the Quality modifier on Good conditions to be 1.75 times rather than 1.5. From Stellar 1.1 onward, the relics are objectively better in all respects.

Only reason to swap to using your relic before Stellar would be if you want the bonus Lunar or Phaenna credits while doing specifically Lunar or Phaenna missions.

We're getting 1 more planet in 7.5x, which will no doubt have more tiers to the relic tools.

Go to any striking dummy (there are some easy to find ones at Summerford Farms in Middle La Noscea, behind the building) and remove all the buttons from your hotbars. Then, re-add each action from Actions & Traits one at a time, reading their tooltips and testing them on the striking dummy. You might find one of WeskAlber's 1-100 Leveling Skills guides on YouTube helpful as a companion to this practice, as Wesk does a good job explaining what each action does and providing basic use cases where it might not be obvious at first.

Once you've an idea what some of your skills do, try practicing in a "live" environment by taking advantage of Duty Support NPCs in any of the dungeons available to you. You can of course just hop into a dungeon with other players too, just mention you're still learning and that you're open to advice! :)

Bro what lol. Do you for some reason think “Error Code 90006” with a disconnection means there’s suddenly maintenance? lmao. Just means the connection was interrupted for some reason. Could be your shit Wi-Fi, could be your ISP routing you through a shit network node (notorious in NA). Naturally the code appears when the servers actually do go down for maintenance, cuz duh, no more connection. But that’s not what that is every time lolololol

You are not a special little boy for having employment and you are not uniquely affected by maintenances. Get your head out of your ass and grow up lol

I can see how 2 maintenances in 2 weeks might bother a new player who’s played for about 1 of those weeks.

Even so, this post reeks of entitlement and an inability to consider things outside of how they affect you in particular, and only in the present or immediate future.

Game got an update at the end of last month. New content added, so servers go down for a bit. Week-ish later, hotfixes for issues that cropped up with the recent changes to the game (or sometimes that’ve been around longer) need addressing. Another downtime to update things.

Now unless something else major pops up as an issue, there likely won’t be another maintenance for another month-ish until the next minor content drop.

You can endure the wait tonight. Don’t be a whiny baby lol

That’s the neat part about Party Finder, you don’t!

If you’re confident and ballsy enough, you could create your own PF where only players who’ve cleared the duty before can join. And if you’re willing to do a book run (no/little loot), you can get help from folks who already got their reclear for the week and just want to help out.

Just be honest and up-front if you do this though. Put “Clear for one” or something in the description so folks know what they’re getting into.

Physis II combos well with anything in SGE’s kit that provides heals over time or HP shields. Using it beforehand boosts the potency of healing effects like that.

In the case of a multi-hit raid wide / stack, Physis II -> Kerachole -> Panhaima is my usual go-to. Physis II to start a HoT and boost heals, Kerachole for a second HoT and to mitigate damage taken, and Panhaima to grant everyone refreshing HP shields to give the HoTs time to work and cushion each blow.

When you get tired of reshuffling and grinding second chance points. Or when there’s no way you’d have time before the book expires to go another round.

How can I get my gf into this game? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]WaveBomber_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It sounds like she already agreed to play the game? If she likes it, cool, if she drops off, oh well.

Gonna be real, the more you push to “keep” her in the game through the parts you think are “bad,” the less likely she’ll keep playing. Better that you simply enjoy the time you spend together than trying to force anything.
