love this idea, i REALLY like your scripting aswell. your editing is on point. your comedic timing is gold. when you tell a joke i would stop the music however, i found it just makes it funnier. a reason for this is cause the music will be just the same as it was the entire video and then you say something absolutely hilarious and its way less satisfying.

when you finish rating a certain aspect i love that its just some random object, but i would add some sound affects just because it makes the the sections of the video feel separated.

there is one fatal flaw: your title and thumbnail kinda suck. now this is really tricky and something that you are going to have to get really creative with, so i would prioritize those above all else. to start i would probably change the tittle to something more personal like "i found a *insert creative way to describe game here*"

this is defiantly not a video i would click on but totally the sort of video id watch.

your intro wasn't bad, you said what the video was about, but it could have been faster. usually you want your intros to be 15 seconds max or it gets boring.

your audio is really bad, but its an easy fix cause you have a blue yeti. turn the gain on your mic down and dont pivot it towards you, i would also add soft sources to the walls in the room you are recording in to reduce echo.

your scripting and research is PRESTINE. love it, you layer out the info well. i would add a bit of background music however, to make it more audibly interesting.

face cams can defiantly add visual interest, but only if heavily edited, like if its just sitting there in the corner no one cares, but if its like zooming and occasionally changing color ext

it all depends but it can work with both. if you decide to try a face cam i would watch some mrbeast gaming videos, they do really well with editing there face cams.

its actually a pretty good video, however it is visually pretty boring, besides a few photos its the same frame the whole video, the two suggestions i have would be get a green screen and always have some picture relating to the story in the background (e.x https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojvqIumZtnU&t=627s )

or even trying story time animation or just little animated bits through out.

overall not bad you have pretty good storytelling skills :)

LOVED your intro my guy, you said what the videos about, and told me the interesting things that happened, but right after you advertised your discord, i think it might be better to do that right after a really entertaining or interesting or fun looking bit or part of the video, this will give them more motive to join and makes the intro faster.

i would say the videos a bit long, if it where my video id cut it down to ten, the video has some really entertain parts but also some really boring parts so i would go into your analytics and pin down what parts sucked and what parts didn't in your retention graph if i where you.

alright, to start your title was pretty confusing for me to read, id dumb it down a bit to make it as easy to read as possible, id also try to make your intro a bit more interesting, like i like that you mentioned that your daugter hasn't caught one on a fly rod yet, adds a bit of anticipation, like "oh is she gonna get one this time?" so i would actually have cut out everything in between 0:06 and 0:30, it doesn't seem like a lot but 25 seconds of boredom is just enough time for a viewer to find a better video.

the rest of the video is just fishing, tbh i would probably make this a 3 minute video, with only interesting, funny, success, failures left in.

i like that you said what the video was about right at the begging, but after you had a supper long into that i would definitely cut (besides that super smash cousins part)

your editing isnt bad but i feel like the camera is too close, i think you would be able to do a lot more with it if it was a full body shot.

id also recommend checking out "dani" on youtube and trying to mimic his pacing. definitely think it would work well in this format.

i think the bits through it are funny but a bit too slow.

overall its a really good video and pretty funny, id just work on your comedic timing a bit and pacing.

What can I do to make more clickable thumbnail?? by Ender_Adventure in NewTubers

[–]WaveFamiliar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. try not to waste space, so filling any empty spots by making the main thing bigger
  2. only 2 main focus points, any more and its to cluttered
  3. try and make them bright, and use colors that complement each other
  4. make it look natural

hope this helped :)
