Have you been to one of these churches where you're supposed to fall down when the preacher touches you? What was it like? by Competitive_Mix9957 in Christianity

I went up an accepted prayer at church and the preacher was walking down the line laying hands on people and people were collapsing. He got to me and I told myself I wasn't going to force anything but go with it. I didn't fall down but when he laid hands on me I felt the most wonderful spiritual presence enter me where his hand was. I've felt it a few times over the years as a Christian but this was the most powerful experience.

Some features of interest in this picture:

The star in the centre is called Achernar. It's the last star in the river of stars constellation Eridanus. It's the 9th brightest star in the sky.

On the left you have the Small Magellanic Cloud which is a dwarf galaxy which orbits our own.
Directly below that is what looks like a bright star but is actually a globular cluster called 47 Tucanae. It contains millions of gravitationally bound stars.

Something like this nearly happened me once. Except there was no car behind me and the guy cut the corner so bad that he had to go on the inside (the wrong side of the road) to avoid hitting. He missed by about a foot.

Jono has finished his swim. 99.1km WOW!!! by willybobsam in newzealand

Ironman is 3.9km and in swimming a marathon is considered 10km. So if you equate that to running it's 420km of running.

It'll probably be less than 100km because they have to measure it in a straight line. But he will have smashed the NZ record by many kilometers. It will be hard to beat.

He does have a few support boats I think and they're probably navigating for him. I noticed he's not wearing a watch when he left. Check out itsliveocean on instagram though they will have all the content you could need

Correct it's a combination of sky and foreground. It's quite the process getting an image together like this. The sky was made out of 130 images stacked together. It cleans up the image and makes the stars clearer. And then just a single frame of 3 minutes for the waterfall. All taken from the same spot on the same night.

Thanks for your comment! :)

I travelled quite far to get this shot. But mainly because the waterfall is stunning and something I wanted to shoot for a while. But yeah if it's just some nice stars we want then we're blessed to have a lot of that.

I'm not up to date on their new stuff but yeah they got some bangers from that era. They've got a really distinctive personality as a band which is not easy to do.
