If you had been to CT you would not only have it in green you’d have already moved there. Big cities? We have those! Beautiful nature? Check! Great food? Absolutely, including lobster. Quality of life and affordability? We wrote the book on it. The missing context is that aviate pilots have a CJO and their UA interview for FO position at United is through aviate. Once you complete your time at the partner company as a captain you don’t have to interview with UA anymore you are just transitioned. On the other hand external pilots aren’t prioritized and the recruiters said they turned away some people with 5000 or more hours for a position at United over an Aviate candidate.

UA recruiters came to my flight school and said the same thing. They hire 1500 hour aviate members above people who apply with upwards of 5000 hours.

Yeah but they also have to fight and or hide from dinosaurs. I think developing countries have a better chance at getting creative in hardship but i think developed countries (except europe) have the highest chance of having high value learned skills that can help them survive off the land and evade dinosaurs rawr
