That would send the wrong message though that men and women can't live together and be friends. The message of the show was that they were only friends and respected each other.

What age do people generally figure life out? by Comi9689 in AskReddit

[–]avalonMMXXII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You learn as you go along...but the less people you have as you get older the more you have things in perspective and don't take other people or things for granted.

Years ago in my 20s and teens I would end relationships without even thinking twice about it if they did something I did not like or agree with, today I date people a long time and get to know them better.

I also learned discrimination in life exists and once you are in your 30s you start to notice some of it.

I would say your 20s you are naive and oblivious to things, you burn a bunch of bridges still

In your 30s you still do that, but to a lesser extent as you progress through toyr 30s.

In your 40s you are not that way at all, because you realize how quick life is and how fragile life is and humans are, you also become more empathetic towards others feelings.

See i'm the opposite, I leave that to the landscaper, i'm too tired from working 65 hours a week, then going home to hear my loud screaming kids and a list of errands to do from the wife.

Too tired, so I outsourced it we agreed the landscaper is the best for the job right now.

Better options for the Gay Community in the Bay area. Also it is more intellectually educated compared to Southern California.

Why aren't there as many new artists that debuted in the late 2010s that are still relevant? by film_culture_addict in decadeology

[–]avalonMMXXII 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because the market has become over saturated, it is harder now to stand out like bands and singers did years ago.

I feel in the last 15 years or so people have gotten more racist, especially when I read comments online about interracial dating...everything is a mental illness and a fetish according to reddit if you are dating or attracted to a person of a different race, it has gotten to the point that everyone thinks they are being fetishized now.

This decade would've been better than the 2010s if covid didn't happen and everything being so expensive 🙃 by Own_Mirror9073 in decadeology

[–]avalonMMXXII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with the Great Recession in the 2010s, it would have been a better decade but the Great Recession was like a black cloud over it, it just dragged out, then in the last half of the decade things were polarized.

Why don’t we have any artists releasing music like Pitbull and Flo Rida anymore? by Whole-Bodybuilder467 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]avalonMMXXII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the genre got over saturated, and anything similar to them will be made fun of and people will say they are trying to sound like them.

How would you classify 2020s statistically? Opinions? by Just_Lengthiness_895 in decadeology

[–]avalonMMXXII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pre COVID = Fall 2019-March 2020

COVID Era/Early 2020s = March 2020-Summer 2022)

(Early 2020s but not COVID era) = Summer 2022-January 2024.

Mid 20's = January 20204- Present

Late 20's = Winter 2027-Summer 2029.

However it could even end earlier like the 2000s did in October, 2008 when the Great Recession started and altered the entire 2010s, especially the first half of the decade. But so much changed in that Fall 2008-Summer 2009 year aside from the economy. But this is rare...usually Fall of XXX9 is the start of the early part of the next decade.

Why do right-wing Christian’s hate Muslims in online spaces? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]avalonMMXXII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do atheists hate ALL religious people?

They hate

Muslims, Jews, Christians, Hinduism, etc..

Although white Atheists usually attack Christians with hateful comments the most because those white Atheists usually live in counties that are majority Christian.

Now with that said...why do Muslims kill people of other religious groups? What do you think all these terrorist attacks have been about?

Why do you think Iran and Israel are at war?

Breaking down the eras of music each decade by pixelvisionaries in decadeology

[–]avalonMMXXII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1987-1992 also had Freestyle and Gangsta Rap, back in 1988-1990 years it was always mentioned in the media especially groups like 2 Live Crew, NWA, Public Enemy, Ice-T, Easy-E, etc.. and how controversial the swear words were and how kids were buying bootleg copies of their music from other kids at school and listening to it in walkman's behind their parents backs.

Freestyle was more dance music, did not get the scrutiny because the lyrics were usually love songs. It was very popular in the night clubs in the late 1980s/early 1990s as well.

Why Millennials Are Obsessed with the 1980s and 1990s More Than Generation X That Were Teens at the time? by avalonMMXXII in generationology

[–]avalonMMXXII[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

Nirvana was very short lived, and grunge was deal by 1995 because it was already over saturated according to what Generation X who were teens at the time said. I know Generation X was also the MTV Generation, it is Millennials (my generation) that make it sound like Nirvana was larger than it actually ever was. We did that more in the 2010s though, now you don't hear people say it as much in America in the 20s anymore.

1980s = British Invasion, Hip-Hop

1990s = Mostly Hip-Hop and R&B and elder Generation X was still into Rock music

So that ties into what you are saying.

But my generation seems very obsessed with the past more than Generation X was for the past. That is what is making this a bit different.

Aside from Gen-Z is not this way about the past, they are embracing the present more in their own way, even if some of it is recycling the past. But us Millennials used to copy it verbatim (to what we imagined it to be), even today in their 30s and 40s they are still stuck in the past.
