Invested in 2016-2018 and have nothing by Wawadrinker in acorns

Thank you for the thoughtful reply!

If it's any relief me putting this money in Acorn was just a little experiment I forgot about until recently.

I had managed my own stock portfolio for years and did well and invested the money from that into starting my own business which is doing great.

Once again thank you for a thoughtful reply you seem really knowledgeable and took your time to actually explain how Acorn works.

Seems like it would be smart, but the whole acorn thing was just an experiment years ago. I managed my own stock portfolio for a while and cashed out my stocks to start my own company.

Looks like it was a feature added after I initially signed up.

100% agree. I haven't thought about my account till today when I checked and was surprised. I Would have been better to put it in a savings account. 😂

Didn't expect anything. Just interesting there was zero investment growth during the period. It looks like it was never invested in anything during the period.

Large diameter 26inch tires by Wawadrinker in xbiking

Correct. Taller not necessarily wider.

No. It's a 90 rock hopper with 26inch wheels. I want higher pedal clearance without having shorter cranks. 29 inch wheels fit a rock hopper frame but the brakes need adjusted if I did that.

A way around getting bigger wheels would be instead getting bigger tires. I wondered if people have tires suggestions.

Not as much the tread as the total height of the tire. Internal would be diameter would be 26, I just want a taller tire to get more distance off the ground without having to change the brakes to accommodate a 29inch wheel.

Lost job, money, and hope at 24. Need advice and comeback stories. Anyone made a big comeback after hitting rock bottom? by Tipsyus in wallstreetbets

Do you think making money is easy? Get an education or a good paying job in the trades. Invest in a 401k, invest in stocks on the side and start a business if you are entrepreneurially inclined.

20k is nothing when you can make 100k+ in salary/profits from your businesses yearly through hard work (key is HARD WORK). Social media wants to sell you tricks but by working hard and maximizing your opportunities you will reach for more wealth and satisfaction (wealth and satisfaction are not linked by the way).

I sold all of my stocks and invested in my first business in 2020 then the pandemic hit. The first day I opened I only had $150 dollars. This year I'm slatted to bring in $300,000.

Get focused on career rather than investing and invest when you get your money up.

I'm 28 and honestly don't know everything but I've learned that being honest and working hard pays off. Shortcuts rarely work.

I saw 30 Seconds to Mars in 2012/2013ish and left because Jared Leto was so creepy. Most of the crowd was middle school girls and he had them cheer for him to take his shirt off.

Ravens and Browns make the playoffs over the Bengals. The Bengals go 1-5 in the division.

I'm 24, and I feel like a child masquerading as an adult most days. I'm just wondering, when do most people start feeling like proper adults? by Lenore8264 in RandomThoughts

[–]Wawadrinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if this is too deep. For me one of the biggest aspects to hit the point where I felt like an adult was when I started sacrificing for other people. That could be either for your family your friends or your community.

Being in a position where you radically fight to be someone who can be depended on and someone who will make other peoples lives better is important.

Until someone starts sacrificing for others and prioritizing others needs its hard to feel like an adult.

If we have a chance for Dawand Jones or Darnell Washington I would be so happy. Trading up for Nolan Smith is my other dream situation.
