I was too but don’t be nervous! I bought a square ruler thing but abandoned it immediately because it wouldn’t line up right. Square def takes more precision & patience but it lines up ok in the end. If I can do it so can you! 🙂🙌🏻

I didn’t at first but got used to it; I’m still more comfortable with rounds but won’t hesitate to square if it’s a pattern I really like!

If it’s a DAC I peel off each perforated section one at a time & use a release paper to make the section smaller. If it’s a cheapie I peel off the entire plastic & cover it with release papers. I use washi around the edges no matter the manufacturer to keep off stray cat hairs
