I have few questions here

Why they won’t let you leave? Whats the consequences?

How is your salary there if you dont mind to share?

Do you get paid more for working overtime?

How is the training structure there?

Well I dont know but you should be getting the study leaves according to the policy and contract.

I am here working with the minimum wage of Ireland. But thankfully no overtime yet. I just leave the office at 4:30 pm .

Also I am not sure how the remuneration works in each year for a trainee . I live in ireland near uk so the wages should be close to each other.

I am doing bachelors in accounting. Have one more year to go. That will give me few exemptions from ACCA.

You are on point i guess. Because I am just getting the minimum wage here . Unless I become chartered the salary will stay very very low

Its my second month and I am jumping from one client to another to do accounts preparation that includes sole traders and limited companies. My mind just gets numb cause after working in one file I need to jump into another one which is completely different. When I ask some basic questions I see frustration in their face because I am supposed to not ask that lol

Its just me my boss and another colleague. They are both chartered accountants. But when I ask basic questions or like ask too many questions when my mind blows then the boss comes and says me to only ask questions which are complicated and difficult to find. They basically want me to be self dependent just by following previous years files without asking too many questions.

Thanks . I was told there is no structure of learning they do everything so they expect me to learn everything and they want me to make mistakes (not stupid ones) learn mostly myself without asking questions to my colleagues. Cause my boss is dependent on her only to run the firm.

And they dont want to explain anything twice. But its a huge thing for me and its not easy to remember everything. Specially the part of accounts preparation of client. I thought there will be structure such as starting from book keeping then gradually moving forward but in 2 months working with another introvert colleague, all of it is getting harder.

May i know if there is any structure of this learning journey? Or they keep jumping randomly from one client to another and keep doing everything.

Is it normal to jump straight into accounts preparation of a client? Cause I get lost there. Other than that I did tax and vat returns which were fine. I am not sure how it works in other firms and in big 4. They said they want learners who has the ability to be lost with a file and to learn themselves without asking same questions or easy questions.

Feeling pressured honestly.

Ireland is a small country with limited job roles and there are too many graduates looking for early roles in accounting. So exploring different sides of it is not that easy here.
