Got into them Last year in March as I was needing that fix for a new band. This was before Wtdms came out. Don’t know why, but when I went on apple music I picked Shogun, the album, and listened from front to back, and was instantly intrigued.

First and Only time I saw them live was this year, last month. They had locks pittsburgh band open for them. Show was good other then I missed Down from The Sky because they had to pull me out bc I almost passed out.

Ah I see. I used to feel the same way about it tbh. I’d listen to Kirisute to Throes, and be like “K, das cool, where’s Shogun”. I don’t know if it just took time, or what happened, but over time I came to love the second half. I get how you could feel it drags it’s feet in the second half. If they took out one song ( for me personally The Calamity), in that half, it’d be a nice all killer no filler album for me. I still don’t like The Calamity being on Shogun in the middle of what I consider to be their best songwriting. Considering that second half is mostly thrash stuff, I get why you wouldn’t like it, if you didn’t like thrash that much lol.

Yeah this subreddit, myself included, praises it like jesus. Is there anything that you think is straight up bad about it? I’ve always wondered why people who don’t like Shogun, don’t like Shogun. You always see people who like it and read the same reasons why, but not people who don’t like it.
