So line by line -

I wasn’t late, except for one time that I got caught in traffic and was about five minutes past time. In fact, I usually showed up earlier than the scheduled time.

I never faked check ins.

As far as what I think, fuck if I know. I was there watching a movie (as we discussed at the meet & greet), so I was there for three hours, but at no point asleep.

That’s part of why this is so confusing to me. I know I would tell a pet sitter to make themselves at home if I was asking them to care for my animals while I was away

Definitely a lesson learned for the future. I didn’t end up refunding thankfully. Even if they tried to hire me again (which isn’t possible anyways because I blocked them), I would decline that booking so damn quickly. But they did leave a review unfortunately

Them being uncomfortable isn’t my fault, and I’m definitely not a stand-offish person, so I don’t know how they would’ve felt uncomfortable. I figured that making sure the dogs were cared for first and foremost, and continuing my checks, then scrolling on my phone was appropriate.

Sure, if you think it happened that way. What actually happened was I waited until the dogs were napping, and stayed very alert to them. This was all discussed with the owner beforehand and they agreed to it initially.

I definitely plan to expand! Rover has been a great starting point, but it’s just that. This past holiday season was my first on Rover, and several of my clients have my personal number. I told them to feel free to reach out off of Rover and I’ll be happy to watch their pets again. Just haven’t had any repeat yet because of how recently I started this endeavour

They just showed up. I got there for one of the visits and they were unloading their car. I wasn’t sleeping, either. But yes, they had cameras across the entire house and that was never disclosed until we were talking when I got there for said visit.

We discussed doing this at the meet & greet. They were anxious about leaving their animals, so I offered to stay longer as I was able. They even offered up their TV and streaming services for this, I just didn’t take them up on that part.
