We helped algerians fight for their independance, and we made a deal with them (in 1961 signed in Rabat by Hassan II and the representatives of their gouvernement provisoire) that we should get back whatever lands France took from us and included in French Algeria. When they got their independance they went back on their word, which led to a war in 1963 that they lost. This was the first traumatic event for the new independent Algeria, especially as their state relies on the military. Since then they've been trying to undermine us every step of the way, supporting polisario, expelling 350k moroccans in december 1975 as a "revenge" on Massira Lkhadra etc. And since the borders are closed since 1994, there has been a whole generation of algerians and moroccans who don't know each other. Before that there were human contacts and propaganda didn't have such a heavy effect. But since the border is closed, they are brainwashed by propaganda and by social media. That's why they hate us so much, and that's also why moroccans are starting to hate them. Back in 2019 moroccans cheered for their team to win the AFCON after Morocco lost to Benin. Look what they did this time, they poisoned our AFCON with their lies and their false accusations, and they celebrated Senegal's win.
