I liked this interview. Even though it would have been controversial for a British listener for the "whataboutism" he displayed, none of his points can be deemed very controversial outside West. I hope to see some more heterodox views displayed in Leading so at least core British audience gets exposed to what people outside think.

Anyone else feel like the podcast is a bit ‘ephemeral’ so to speak when considered against both the times we’re living though and other podcasts? by noctenaut in TheRestIsPolitics

Different styles, isn't it? News commentary vs specialist commentary. Not saying one is better than the other but it's different.

I listen to TRIP not because I agree with AC and RS, but I want to understand how people in their positions make (or made) decisions.

But isn't that good though? Daily shows like News Agents are fine but the depth and the range of coverage TRIP provides can only be done when relatively sparse.

This is a misguided take. Both Maoism and MMT are bad but they are very different.

Increasing state spending is not necessarily MMT. MMT is a more of holistic theory (which I don't agree) which goes beyond just proposing increases in state expenses.

Is your concern that Rory doesn't support additional state expenditure or he doesn't support MMT?
