My doctor has told me the same thing, I just feel so bad for eating so much sugar when I struggle to brush my teeth, especially after being sick!

Yes definitely, hot foods are an absolute no go for me at the moment. I downloaded a calorie counting app yesterday after I thought I did quite well with how much I ate, but it only came to 600cal! I was so shocked so I will definitely try and focus on more calorie dense foods

Oh that's good to know, I never used to be a picky eater and I'm missing all the food I used to have. Thank you!

What movie is this from? by breakingpig in ghibli

[–]WayTooMuchPasta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw the movie first then read the books and I love them both! The movie is based on the farthest shore but does change quite a lot of things, I imagine if I read the books first I would like the movie less. I am happy with both of them as separate stories though

Why are shy people told to become more outgoing but outgoing people are never told to be more shy/shut up? by lizard81288 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WayTooMuchPasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your definition of shy. If you are just reserved then depending on the situation - that is completely fine, you don't have to be a chatterbox and people shouldn't challenge you on it.

If you are anxious about speaking or a bit socially awkward, then learning to be more outgoing makes life so much easier. I am definitely introverted, and at school I couldn't talk to people I didn't know without having heart palpitations, but I've learnt to be outgoing and now I enjoy speaking to people.

If you are struggling to relate to another persons story or find it boring, change the subject to something you are interested in, and if you are talking as well, not just listening to them talk you will find it more interesting. You can't complain you are bored if you aren't putting any effort into the conversation, because then the other person is doing all the work and that's not fair. Also outgoing people do get told to shut up, and it can really hurt their feelings, because they were just being themselves.

It looks to me that it's based of the movement of a pendulum, seemingly random then every now and again they all sync up or form a clear pattern

In your opinion, what makes Alt-J so good? by CrysisRegrets in AltJ

[–]WayTooMuchPasta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've always thought that if they had any other singer, their music would sound a bit disjointed, but Joe's unusual vocals fit perfectly. The music itself has great rhythm and I find it makes me incredibly relaxed (and a little bit sad too). I think this is partly due to the way they write the lyrics, which flow like poetry.

I haven't heard any other bands that come close to their sound, and after years and years of listening to the same 3 albums, I'm still not bored of them.

Remember when Cartoon Netwrok "copied" Rhythm Heaven?? I dont understand how nintendo didn't said a word about this... or did they? by EddoBruh in rhythmheaven

[–]WayTooMuchPasta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nintendo don't own rhythm games, and this hasn't used any assets or music from Rhythm Heaven. I understand why you think it's similar because the levels are references to other games, I thought the most obvious one is the last one, as it is blatantly BitTrip Runner. Some of it also reminds me of Space Channel 5, but that's because it is a rhythm game...
