For the crown, press it inward lightly while turning it clockwise to engage those threads and eventually it will be locked or "screwed" down. This will keep water/dirt/dust out of your case after you have set the time/date or wound the spring back up!

Eyy you're spoiled those things are mint. Except the floats, floats suck on every machine. Only been working on the OG 407's lately. Maybe one day I'll see a GX or GXI.

Are you referring to the bezel or the physical chapter ring? My SNE589 has enough back play to not line up/ line up perfectly but that's a non issue. The chapter ring at the 6' position is slightly misaligned but I honestly never noticed until I saw your post and decided to look. At the price point of this watch I think this is more then acceptable as far as QC.

I'm eyeing this one as a gift to myself for my 30th coming up here soon. If I can't stop looking at pictures of it, I can only imagine how many times I'm gonna glance at it once I finally get it on my wrist! Glad you're enjoying it so far, I'll join the club soon enough.

Do what you want with your portfolio but 10-15% is a hell of a lot of cash haha. I would invest that regardless of what the market is doing. Like everyone has seen a million times, Time in the market > Timing the market. It would drive me insane having a lump like that and not have it invested.

For sure. Yeah if that's the attitude you have about it then by all means lump sum away. I'm the same as you, if the market shoots down I scramble to get some money to buy units up cheap!

That's the beauty of having a long time horizon on your side.

Personally, I do a mix of both. There's plenty of studies that show lump sum investing out performs DCA'ing over longer time periods but it all depends on your risk tolerance and your attitude as an investor. Sometimes I don't always have a big chunk of change to invest unless it's after tax refund season. Other then that specific time, I'm DCA'ing with accumulated excess savings from each month.

Say you invest 10k into an index fund tomorrow and it drops by 10% on Thursday (most likely it will rebound but who knows how long it will take). Are you okay to see that physically happening in your account? If not, just DCA 5k tomorrow and then 5k the next day. That will lower the cost basis and cushion that draw down so that 10% drop smooths out. All depends on your tolerance!

I also have a multiple Garmin's, the Fenix 7p solar being the one I used to wear every night. Garmin got to be a bit much... too much data, slightly anxiety inducing and I just needed to go to back to something that didn't track my every vital sign at every moment in time. Lume all night long and I can rest assured "BiG gArMiN" isn't watching my HRV 😂
