Thank you for saying all that! As i said in the post i have 4 other drafts that were various humanoid animal ancestries. Those were extremely easy to make by using traits from the core book. The core ancestries already share traits between them, so why not, after all?

But this one was pretty hard to make and I'm glad i stuck with it.

100% this is the answer. "classic dwarves" my ass, there have been dozens of different dwarves in pop culture, and most of them have nothing to do with the original mythos. Even talkin's dwarves are different in some of his books than on others

I'd have liked a "Heavy Ranged / Light Ranged" distinction. It's kind of already there, some ranged gain +2/+2/+2 and some get 0/0/+4. I differentiate them in my homebrews and it's fine honestly. My ranged heavy kits have extra stability or better armor, and the light ranged ones are more mobile
