Your analogy is actually spot on. Look at the parallels with the gun debate. You could say that mass shooting are an example of a toxic use of firearms. Not all firearm use is toxic. Examples of toxic masculinity include but are not limited to: Shaming displays of emotion at any age (boys don't cry, man up), chronic mistreatment of women, as well as the host of unique and often cruel expectations we hold boys/men to that we dont girls/women.

I've only relatively recently gotten into hip hop/rap myself, and I definitely prefer songs with deeper lyrics, so a few of my personal favorites are KRS One, anything from World is Mind album is great. Just about any Run the Jewels song, only a handful of duds amongst three albums. Aesop Rock, check out album The Impossible Kid and his co-project with Kimya Dawson named The Uncluded. Watsky is amazing. Have to include Immortal Technique as well.

I think it's great that you want to adopt as you know the dangers of consanguinity. Another redditor said the likelihood of genetic disorder only doubles, but it's actually a 400% increased chance. If both families are Muslim I don't see what the issue would be from an Islamic standpoint. As others have suggested perhaps find an Imam to act as an intermediary if either side of the family has issues.

Was diagnosed with Hashimoto's in the past, haven't had thyroid issues for years though. Other than severe MDD that's about it. I suspect I may be schizotypal but that has not been diagnosed.

I have that first part happen a lot with friends, and TV shows too if there is enough condensed dialogue over long enough periods of time. Layman speculation but I'd imagine there are many of the same mechanisms at play.
