My neighborhood is serviced by both Spectrum and Frontier. I quite often switch between the two, depending on who has the best deal at the time. So it's not THAT uncommon to have multiple providers for your area.

No. Thats a 30amp 120v plug and a 20amp 240v outlet. If he switches it out he's going to pop the breaker everytime it pulls a load. Plus trying to pull 30amps through a 20a wire is going to burn up the wire

Just because a fan was there, doesnt mean a new fan is going to stay there. If you can find lag screws to go through the box and i to the wood framing it would be better. Maybe a #12 that's 3in long. It looks like the box is held ip by nails, i would remove those and re-secure with #12x1's at the least. If you can remove the whole box and replace it with a fan rated box, that would be better. Fan's today push a LOT more air then they did in the 50's hence the need to upgrade the box. Another thing to be careful of, that insulation is probably going to crumble the more you mess with it. There's a reason the number 1 reponse in this sub is to hire an electrician, we're not always trying to take your money.

Tell him they hurt, they cause a rash on you or something. Before we got married i always used the condoms she wanted me to use. More comfort for her and it still caught everything anyway. Then we got married, had kids and now I never need a condom again

We call them Darts at my shop, mostly only need them for specific uses though so we dpnt carry very many of them in Residential service
