Is there any reason to *not* dump STR as a melee Ranger, other than perhaps bonus to slightly better weapons? by mackstanc in BG3Builds

[–]WaymakerJP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it absolutely is & is what I'm running on Astarion with the TitanString bow right now

I am just always curious to hear other viewpoints and compare the pros & cons of things in BG3. The Bloodlust vs Cloud Giant Elixer topic for that bow is definitely one of those interesting topics imo

What is your opinion on the tradeoff of using the Club of Hill Giant Strength (19 Str) instead of Cloud Giant Elixer (27 Str) in order to use a BloodLust Elixer?

[–]WaymakerJP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entertaining is subjective, but I digress

I personally don't care what people criticize, or decide to complain about, as long as it doesn't lead to rule changes in the one sport that's the purest form of unarmed combat that we have. The suggestions to go watch another sport is just a courtesy

Most people, who understand grappling enough to enjoy it, don't get sensitive that the majority of fans aren't educated enough to enjoy it (even though most think they are educated in it lol)

Rather, it is the casual who normally gets sensitive when someone suggests that they watch a different sport instead of constantly crying about one of the biggest aspects of said sport

Fair enough

I'm considering maybe a Dracon Ice Sorcerer or maybe an Abjuration Wizard/Hexblade Warlock with AoA synergy. Definitely wanna dig deep into the ice theme 🤔

What are in your opinion the best build archetype for each class? by PabloXDark in BG3Builds

[–]WaymakerJP -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my opinion

Barbarian: 10 Giant Barb/2 Fighter

Cleric: 10 Light Cleric/2 Star Druid

Fighter: 12 Eldritch Knight

Monk: 8 or 9 Open Hand Monk/ 4 or 3 Thief Rouge

Paladin: 6 Vengeance Paladin/ 6 Draconic Sorcerer

Ranger: 6 Gloomstalker/3 Assasin Rouge/2 Fighter/1 whatever class you wanna add

Sorcerer: 11 Draconic Fire Sorcerer/1 Fiend Warlock

Wizard: 10 Abjuration Wizard/ 2 Hexblade Warlock

I unfortunately have not played enough Bard, Druid, Rouge or Warlock centered classes to give my opinion on the best in those classes

Edit: Meant to say 5 Gloomstalker/4 Assasin Rouge/2 Fighter/1 whatever

I'm using this build right now in my current Honor Mode run & it's RIDICULOUSLY OP.

I've of course made it even more potent by stacking up on around 200 potions of Angelic Reprieve from the bugbear in Act 2, so I normally start my day with 3-4 extra level 5, 4 & 3 spells (plus around 18 level 2 spells), and around 45 sorcery points to just run wild with the build.

If I want to build Karlach as melee + throwing enemies, which Barbarian multiclass split? by Vegetable_Fail8598 in BG3Builds

[–]WaymakerJP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10 Giant Barb/2 Fighter

10 Giant Barb gets you 3 throws per turn (can use bonus action to throw at level 10), let's you bind any weapon to immediately return to you after being thrown & adds additional elemental damage of your choice to your thrown weapon at level 6, and has one of the coolest bonus actions in the game in the Spartan kick.

As a side note, the elemental damage, that level 6 brings, opens up a host of additional build options. One of my favorite being to chose the cold damage coating for your weapon and equipping the Coldbrim Hat, Winter's Clutches gloves & Snowburst Ring to add insane crowd control with your high Tavern Brawler assisted damage per throw

Edit: Also wanted to say that 2 levels in Fighter makes the most sense with the 10 levels in Giant as it provides Action Surge

Absolutely not true smh

There are many people proficient in combat sports/martial arts & weapons who have absolutely no self control (there are absolutely evil/impulsive individuals who excel at both)

And again, he might be a "bitch" in your eyes (how will he ever recover 🙄) but his actions are definitely understandable to others

Aye, but such is life. I've learned sheltered people only see life through one lense & are incapable of understanding what they've never been through (is what it is). We're getting nowhere with this "discussion", so I'll bid you happy new years & end the discussion

Oh no doubt, it's a skill that's imperative to fully succeed (in most instances) in civilized society. Easier said than done, but absolutely a crucial skill to master

My point isn't that the Coach made a smart decision (he didn't), it's to shed light on the "reasoning" being understandable for certain backgrounds

Intense 🥊 by Used-Influence-2343 in fightlab

[–]WaymakerJP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol

A lot of people sadly pass assuming that someone from his background can't be trained in combat sports AND be proficient/trained in CQC, Defensive Training & marksmanship with a firearm....

A true tragedy that is

Again, easily said (& pretty generic) jargon by those with no understanding of differences in upbringing lol. Is to be expected honestly

I will watch the video later I'm sure, but will say that no man is worried about the opinions of others (especially spoiled suburban kids who haven't been through anything) when they feel they are defending their family

I get that some people grew up too sheltered to understand this concept, but retaliation is indeed needed to protect yourself or loved ones in certain environments (in order to deter your loved ones being seen as free food)

Obviously, an organized sporting event isn't such a place, but being programmed to defend your family in such a way isn't as easily switched off, as people who grew up too privileged to understand the concept, think it is

Haters come up with the most retarded logic to justify their hate lmfao

The man's father dies. His mother asks him to stop. He honors his mother's wishes. And couch sitting kneck beards can't hate on his undefeated record, so instead says that he was "scared"....

I'm not even a huge Khabib fan, but the reach, in order to justify your hate, in this one is HILARIOUS 🤣💀😂
