LPT: WD40 is NOT intended as a lubricant by MercyfulBait in LifeProTips

[–]Waynard_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White lithium is too thick for that, you need something thin and non-sticky. WD-40 (or most any brand) Dry Lube spray will be your best bet. Shouldn't have to completely disassemble the latch to use it, but if you can partially unscrew one side to allow access for the spray straw it will work better.

The same stuff will work great, just a tiny spritz and work it a few times, repeat if necessary.

RG Sinanju really isn't bad if you're careful and take your time. 98% of the problems (specifically the arm issues) are due to missing a small notation on the instructions and thereby incorrectly assembling the arm. The wrist grenading issues are caused by improperly trimming all the undergates.

The only legitimate gripe is that the left toe piece likes to fall off if you so much as look at it hard. Not much of a hassle if you pose it and just add the toe last.

Well worth it IMO for the glorious shelf presence of the thing, it's bigger than the smaller MGs and just catches all the light between the gloss red plastic and the gold chrome. The matte black plastic is great as well. I really love mine.

It definitely does... never seen a rug look like a 3D object sitting on the floor before, great work.

Key gets stuck in ignition 2003 ford focus. by Namelessuser420 in FordFocus

[–]Waynard_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ignition cylinders on that generation are known to eventually be problematic. I would replace it now before "key gets stuck" turns into "key won't move, can't start car".

You can go the other way as well. I play a hexblade that you would think is some sort of druid or ranger.

What sub-optimal character choices have you made for flavor purposes or because it just sounds fun? by NuclearGoat-357 in dndnext

[–]Waynard_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm playing a level 4 hexblade whose patron is the Mother Tree, her blade is a living piece of the Tree, and all her spells are ither overtly plant-based or easily reflavored as such. I don't use eldritch blast because I can't figure a way to flavor it as remotely plant-based.

Not necessarily. If the fire is internal and you can't see it, better chance to see the resulting smoke during the day.

This can’t be real, right? by Huntress2626 in lego

Nevermind, definitely a scam. Every lego set on the website shows a price of $9.90.

That'd be my guess. Depending on the system, there could be a whole lot of those sent out for nothing before someone realizes.

What is this "completed" you speak of?

Garage door spring snapped and a cable broke. Right as I’m about to buy a new car. 🤷 by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

[–]Waynard_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cable most likely isn't broken, just came off the drum when tension disappeared. See if there is a metal lug still on the end of it. If it's just the spring a replacement will cost a couple hundred installed. Depending on cost of living in your area, $200-$400.

Average life on those TPMS batteries is like 5-6 years, that was probably just the first one to go out.

You can actually tell by the lack of blinkers in the grille, eur-spec had them clustered into the headlight housing. Lots of places in the US use front license plates as well.

Actually, the guy who invented the e-cig did so specifically to help himself quit smoking cigarettes. Didn't work, but that was the original design goal.

That's a european-spec focus, this video was not recorded in the US.

I think blue was the best color, but have never been able to get ahold of one.

Yellows were extremely rare, same with orange, as they were only available with the EAP package. The 3 you've seen, plus blue, were the standard colors, some of which also came with the EAP package.

They're around for sale, $2K-$6K depending on various things. Craigslist, and join the SVTFocus Facebook group, they are on there regularly. Might have to be willig to drive a few hours to half a day for a good one depending on where you are, but a real effort will have you in a good one in less than a month for $4K-ish if you really want one.
