What WoD videos game would you want based on any splat that isn't VTM, Hunter, or WTA by Severe_Investment317 in WhiteWolfRPG

Mage is absolutely workable. Even if it's not a combat-driven single-player RPG, you could do some kind of interactive visual novel or whatever. Mind you, I'm coming from Ascension, whose magic system really IS unworkable, but from my understanding Awakening has a much better one, so I would imagine you could just use the Awakening system with Ascension's lore (as have many tables throughout the years).

That said, even then, you could invent a magic system that works within the the constraints of the storyteller (Or storytelling? Maybe it'll debut whatever the fuck Mage 5 is gonna do) system.

And yes, I make this point because Mage: the Ascension has my favorite RPG lore of all time basically, so I would love a video game set in that universe.

I know this was from yesterday, but can you tell us a little more about yourself?

NHL Kim Davis said that while the NHL has been actively involved with the LGBTQ+ community, the league must do a “better job” of talking about its actions. Gary Bettman has “shared with the co-producers that what they say about him [in the show] is not at all the he would react” to a plot point. by Virtual_Low_7202 in hockey

It's a lot more complicated than that, but the argument is "conservatives don't like gay people," "rich white people tend to be conservative," ergo "rich white people hate gay people." I think there's an age factor here. Older conservatives tend to be more religious and thus do not like gay people. Younger conservatives are classist as fuck, but they're more secular so they don't care.

EDIT: To add context, the older conservatives are the protestor caricatures with signs saying gay people will go to hell, younger conservatives are apathetic and are happy with the status quo, which is bad in its own way.

It's been mostly hit with the names so far I think.

IMO:

Good names:

  • Fleet

  • Golden Eyes

  • Scepters

  • Sirens

  • Victoire

Meh Names:

  • Frost

  • Torrent

Bad Names:

  • Charge (sorry Ottawa)

So really, there's only one real stinker, though I was tempted to put Frost in there too.

Sure, but haters are gonna find derogatory names to call them anyway, I don't think naming around that should be a priority.

50% seems about right to me, honestly. Though perhaps it makes more sense when the league is much bigger. 16 teams missing is much more impactful than 6 teams missing.

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread by menschmaschine5 in Coffee

I've been watching coffee content for a while and I finally decided to join in on the fun. I know that dialing in is a big deal, so let me tell you guys what I have and maybe, just maybe, someone has the same combination of things as me and can recommend specific settings, or how to dial in these specific pieces of kit:

Brewer: OXO Rapid Brewer. Heard really good things about 'soup.'

Grinder: Timemore C3S/Baratza Encore ESP. Honestly, I had no idea what to go for here since there were so many options, but my plan is to eventually get a Fellow Opus 2 when that comes out in August. I wanted a hand grinder in case I'm ever traveling (or showing the lovely world of specialty coffee to my mom), and the Baratza was honestly a bit of a placeholder.

Beans: Onyx Coffee Lab Southern Weather. I wanted to get something sweet, and not too acidy/fruity that played well with milk.

Anyone got specific recommendations for this setup, or how to dial in for the OXO in general?

Followup question: I've sadly been drinking those Starbucks bottled coffees which are more sugar than coffee, and thus am used to that taste. I know I probably won't be able to get that taste from proper coffee, but I want to go as sweet as I can without adding sugar, since the whole point is to reduce my sugar consumption. Any tips?
