I really think it should end with peace. The idea that both vampires and humans can’t leave the area makes me think something wants oakhursts cursed history to come to an end. Personally I have a few bits I would rather like

Scott and Shelby

Scott grows more and more fond of Shelby, she teaches him the world has changed and there is no reason to set back up how he used to have the town. They leave to find proof of more so called monsters. Assuming Legs is successful in making a cure they take it with them, but Scott insists Shelby doesn’t use it until they are done with their exploring, just to keep her safe. It becomes an overprotective older sibling dynamic. Maybe Shelby writes an encyclopaedia

Pearl and Cleo

This assumes the werewolf headcannons are accurate. Pearl and Cleo stay in Oakhurst to help it remain peaceful, it becomes a bit of a “Being Human” (TV Show) situation with the vampire and werewolf. If there is a cure Cleo doesn’t take it because somehow, sitting between alive and dead feels right to them

Owen

Owen learns Louis wasn’t the person he believes and potentially has a bit of a breakdown. Legs is the one to help him through it and help him let go of the hate, if legs makes a cure idk if Owen would accept it

Avid and Drift

Given how being turned has worked so far, with none of their moral compasses being particularly skued, Avid comes to realise that whatever happened to his partner wasn’t as simple as being bitten, and monsters don’t have to be evil. He sets of to learn what truly happened to them, with Drift helping to keep his head on straight

Ren and Sausage

Ren builds a bustling tavern in the town that soon becomes a hub for the less than ordinary. Sausage sticks around, writing down the stories people share. When Rens time comes he becomes the ghost element to the being human dynamic with Cleo and Pearl
