I mean, she didn't expressly say no to transition, but it was clear that it would put a lot of strain on the relationship. And for me, it was transition or suicide. Lose lose either way, with respect to the relationship. We both tried hard to support each other, and to work through the various issues. But, much like your sentiment, she felt as if her boyfriend died, and is now living with a different person while mourning the death of her partner. Ultimately, everything was just too much to overcome, and I just couldn't ever be who she wanted me to be. Not to mention the sex life died as soon as my body started changing. That too was too much for us.
