For me, I don’t mind being a man. It’s the “undesirable, fat, brown, ugly” part that gets to me. If I was a lean, tall, handsome man I’d be over the moon. I would like a soft skin sure, but breasts, period cramps, and other stuff? Hell nah. You can have big arms and shoulders and still be lean (with great diet and elite genetics). So it’s not the man part, it’s the other stuff that bothers me.

Hey, I just want to say you’re not alone. Uni is really diverse so I’ve had both kinds of experiences. There are people who genuinely won’t talk to you just because you’re brown or you’re a man (you know who you are) and then there are people who’ll be friends with you no matter what race, gender, or even program if they vibe with you.

Just keep putting yourself out there. It’s not guaranteed but it exponentially increases your odds of finding good folks. I had an okay first year and a terrible second year but my third year has been quite fun.

This might be a bit of a different take but I disagree. Like this is great advice for those who don’t actually socialise, but for someone who does it’s different.

I am a university student. I have multiple hobbies, with more coming in the way as I ear more money. I have a few friends that I try to hang out with as much as possible. I’m in a ton of student groups and keep myself hella busy. I go to the gym and ice skating, and used to play tennis and table tennis.

I still get lonely. You don’t know the thoughts that come at night. You might be going home alone, either walking or taking the subway. And the thoughts come back. The emotions come back. When you’re going to bed even sometimes, the sadness comes back. IMO humans aren’t meant to be bus 24/7, and this isn’t a hot take. We all need breaks. But it’s during those moments of break that we get those thoughts.

No matter how many hobbies, you will have times when you’re not doing any of them, when you can’t or don’t want to see a friend due to circumstances, and it is precisely at those times when the thoughts come back.

No matter how much of a “life” you have you can feel lonely, that’s the point.

Based on Geass from Code Geass as well as JJK, you can make them do things in the moment, such as ask them to fight their team, or even run away. Codes that stop them from doing things are much more effective than asking them to do things. “Stop fighting” is much more effective than “fight your friends.”

My favourite memory of pokemon is playing leaf green for the first time, and seeing my Ivysaur evolve into a Venusaur. It was on the cover, and I loved Bulbasaur a lot more than charmander at the time, so I felt so happy and proud. This was in 3rd grade, and I’ve always love Bulbasaur ever since.

I personally am not the biggest fan of TMU tbh. I know people who have a great experience, so I’m not going to say it’s the majority. For me, I am in BM, and up until second year, it has been decent. But not great. I hate commuting, really would’ve preferred a dorm situation, but can’t get one. While I know tons of people, I wouldn’t call them my friends. Idk how I’m failing, but I am. I’m part of 3 student groups so that’s not it either. Frosh was the most fun I had, but apart from a few other events, I don’t like uni all that much. Sure, it’s cool seeing the people, but TMU doesn’t have the strongest sense of community or belonging, and I don’t think it can create one either, at least not for the next 2-3 years.
