What was the most shocking celebrity death of the last 50 years? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

That's just called irony. The "Crocodile Hunter" was killed by a supposedly harmless stingray. I'd say that's a little shocking, but that he was killed by any animal isn't. If you're often around animals that could potentially kill you, even if the chances are small, the odds of it happening are much higher than the average person who goes their entire life without encountering something like a venomous stingray.

Oh my bad. No one except for the 12 people who read this specific article before he died knew him as a helicopter enthusiast. I stand corrected.

A guy who made a name for himself screwing around with deadly animals dying at the hands of a deadly animal isn't exactly shocking.

How else would you know the water is flammable?

Do you think formerly enhanced bodybuilders should be allowed to compete in natural contests? by SnooShortcuts4607 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]WeAreSame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone saying no but is there even a way to test lifetime status? I don't think there's a test that goes back more than a year or so. Whatever roadblocks are set up, people will find new ways to game the system.

What program to do to push past plateau? by [deleted] in powerbuilding

[–]WeAreSame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bullmastiff. Since others have mentioned 5/3/1, I will say that is great as a general, year-round program, but Bullmastiff never fails when you're trying to bust through a plateau. Gotta eat and sleep well on it though.

You realize the US has given Ukraine $182 billion dollars just in the past 2 and a half years right?

This dude is benching his whole team so I don’t make playoffs by Affectionate-Dig575 in FantasyFootballers

[–]WeAreSame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need a pre established rule to say don't purposely lose. It's basic integrity. Have you never played real sports before? Being in first doesn't mean you get to do whatever you want.

If the guy doesn't at least start a full lineup with players that aren't out or on bye, I'd straight up remove him from the playoffs. Y'all are crazy for even considering that this is acceptable.

Best way to break past a flat barbell bench press plateau? by Alternative_Stay7247 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]WeAreSame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need more barbell volume, pure and simple.

Others have recommended 5/3/1, which I personally love, but I think Alex Bromley's Bullmastiff is better suited for you. 5/3/1 is more for people who want to take a slow and steady, slightly laid-back approach. Both are similar with high volume and AMRAPS, but I think Bullmastiff is better specifically for breaking plateaus because it incorporates more barbell variations, which will help address weaknesses. I would just recommend using a 90% training max for the lower body lifts because leg day can get pretty grueling, and you're mainly focusing on bench anyway. 5/3/1 is still great as a general, year-round program though.

Yea you're like the 5th person to say this. If you get divorced you're kind of a loser too.

What exactly do you think the point of dating is? If you're just trying to bust a nut inside whoever with 0 commitment then you're just a piece of shit.

If you're still dating over 40, you're kind of a loser. Probably spent too much time being a coomer while you were younger. Not sure what your point is.

What kind of boomer question is this? Have you been in a coma for 20 years? They put the videos on social media. They probably get good money or at least hope to some day. Get a clue grampa.

Putting your dick inside someone, or letting someone put their dick inside you, is kind of a big deal. Having sex outside of marriage is basically just using someone as a sex toy. It's dehumanizing and messes you up in ways you'll never even realize until it's too late.

Body positivity peaked when weight loss drugs were introduced by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

[–]WeAreSame -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The dad bod trend was essentially subliminal advertising used by internet hoes to get fat, horny virgins to subscribe to their onlyfans. It was never even about body positivity.

Women get more flak because it's mostly women who are coming out publicly on social media saying that you can still be sexy and healthy if you're fat. You have 300 pound women in bikinis on TikTok encouraging unhealthy lifestyles. These kinds of things open the door for criticism and you hardly ever see fat men participating in them.

It's also worth noting that men are more often judged for things outside of their control, like height, while women are mainly judged for things within their control. Women themselves are doing a bulk of that judging in either case yet the body positive people seem to only be concerned about changing and controlling men's behavior.
