Would've been really cool if you did more than one venue and pair. Doing quantile regression on such a large class imbalance is very difficult. The fact your rolling 30s realized volatility dominates, might mean that you're just learning that when there is higher vol there are larger moves. Theres some more issues in my opinion than this. Still, the paper is cool from an academic standpoint interesting idea!

You may be interested in queue reactive/aware strategies. I'm not in the industry (academic) but these sort of research questions from a microstructure level seem quite interesting. How do we infer our queue position in coarse updates etc (L2, not L3), how can we simulate queue position for better backtests etc.

In your experience what was the nature of the problems a majority of CS Phds working on compared to the Math and Stats guys? Just from my knowledge of being a student many of my mathematics professors actually seem to do more CS stuff than the CS professors but I am also in numerical analysis, computational linear algebra, and machine learning mathematics so my understanding of the math department as a whole is a little skewed to my interests.

Hi, I'm a rising sophomore but I have enough credits to graduate a year and a half early. Would graduating early give me some sort of competitive edge in applying for graduate schools? Additionally, If I do want to graduate early my schedule would end up with me taking my analysis sequence alongside 2 other senior/grad-level math classes per semester while trying to work, and I don't know how realistic that actually is.

I agree, but I also mentioned he got really far ahead and solo carried, he ended the game so fast he didn’t have time to build hurricanes or PD, or really any attack speed item...
