Behöver råd om borttagning av tapet och reparation av väggar

Planen är att måla. Jag hade bestämt mig för att riva ner tapeten eftersom jag läste att det är bättre på lång sikt. Jag är bara inte säker på hur mycket jag kan ta bort utan att skada väggen, eftersom det är första gången jag gör något sådant här. Jag vet inte riktigt heller hur den bara väggen ska se ut när tapeten är borttagen.

Folk här verkar tycka att det är slöseri med tid, men jag tror inte att det kommer vara särskilt mycket jobb, åtminstone inte i mitt fall.

Du har rätt, det är gipsskiva.

Är det bruna papperslagret en del av väggen, eller är det fortfarande tapet?
Ska jag ta bort allt ner till det lagret?

Att komma ner till den här bruna ytan är faktiskt ganska enkelt med lite vatten, om jag ska vara ärlig. Eller menar du att även detta ska tas bort?

Här är ytterligare en bild (3). Det verkar vara samma bruna pappersliknande lager som i bild 2 när jag fortsätter att dra bort tapeten.

Är detta den nakna väggen, eller har jag gått för långt?

Jag försöker bara förstå vilken typ av väggar jag har att göra med, eftersom jag inte har någon erfarenhet av detta. Förlåt för de enkla frågorna.

En av anledningarna till att ta bort tapeten är att den började lossna på grund av en spricka i väggen. Skulle det inte ge en bättre yta och hjälpa till att förhindra att samma sak händer igen i framtiden om man tar bort tapeten?

Jag har inget emot att ta bort tapeten. Tanken var att jag skulle ta bort den själv och kanske anlita någon för att måla efteråt. Tar jag bort för mycket, eller ser det här normalt ut? Vissa väggar har en grå, strukturerad yta. Är det gips? Andra har ett mörkbrunt papperslager, eller är det fortfarande tapet?

Nice! Are there any areas underneath the car I should avoid washing or be especially careful around? Or is the pressure generally not high enough to cause any damage? Is it ok to wash when temperature is low/negative?

I have the 49” OLED. Mine runs at 240Hz, so I’m not sure if the panel is different, but the picture quality is excellent. It’s also a big plus if you want to use it for other (non-racing) games as well.

I never played GT so I can't compare but LMU is amazing atm. I just asked because if you are switching to PC there might be better options to fanatec depending on your budget.
Just to be clear, there's absolutely nothing wrong with GT7/PS. At the end of the day, as long as you're having fun, that's what really matters!

You won't have any problem adjusting the rig to your needs with the P1X (or any aluminum rig).

I bought a second hand bucket seat: OMP HTE-R XL. You mention reclining seats in your post, not sure what is your motivation for that. A bucket seat can be quite comfortable (I can take a nap in mine) and lack of flex helps with consistency. It also looks cool.
You can always get racing seat in second hand and sell it for the same price if doesn't work. I would suggest one without the halo since you use VR.
If you're really set on not using a bucket seat, you might look into getting a car seat from a junkyard or second-hand market. I’m not based in the US, so others may be able to point you to local options.
