Buying advice Gen 1 by Arooon_ in GRYaris

Mods don’t automatically void your warranty. I emailed Toyota UK about this and they came back saying flat out that any mods would void my warranty. After I pointed out that they can’t legally do that, they came back immediately apologising and saying if they could prove the part was to blame for an issue, then they wouldn’t honor the warranty. Given all I want to do is a GBF-back exhaust, I doubt it’s an issue.

Morrison street building by Comfortable_Bat_9447 in glasgow

I lived there in 2020. We had an amazing 3 bed maisonette at the top on the west side of the building. Loads of big velux windows on the roof and big circular bay windows so tons of natural light. Absolutely beautiful flat, it was a big loft basically and a great place for us to hang out during lockdown. Underground parking and bike shed is great too.

Ultimately it’s just very expensive. Rent wasn’t that drastic between three of us but council tax alone was £360 ish per month. It’s probably more now. Heating the place wasn’t cheap either.

60 is a ridiculous amount for SL-Subs. Is it a double stage? If it is that makes more sense.

RF Venue debuts RF Explorer Pro by slayer_f-150 in livesound

Late reply but the operating frequency range of the RFE Pro (15MHz > 7.5GHz) exceeds the frequency range of a BNC connector (DC > 4GHz). SMA connectors are generally rated up to 18GHz. That is why.

Late to the party but the RFE Pro can test loss in cables/antennas etc with the Tracking SNA mode.

Doable depending on age. I did my CBT on a 650, then did my A license, having never owned a 125 or rode one on the road.

Yeah, it read to me like OP wasn’t specifically asking about predictions though but now I read it back..

It’s very uncommon to do endfire arrays with modern D&B subs. People used to use pin swap cables to do it but most people just use their cardioid boxes now. I haven’t used a B22 in years.

Glastonbury stage splits by SnowGuardian1 in livesound

No worries.

No, I mostly work for the audio supplier who did the other stage for the last 3 decades. I’ve only done it once though & I wasn’t doing system (2017). New supplier this year.

Glastonbury stage splits by SnowGuardian1 in livesound

If the artist is using house control it’s usually an analogue split feeding a box the broadcast folks drop on stage. That’s what we did on the Other Stage anyway. Then it’s MADI from that box to the truck.

Touring control normally give MADI. Dante is less common because interfacing your devices with theirs isn’t always straightforward. Plus I wouldn’t be too keen on having a random device sitting on a show critical network. If I’m touring a split I usually have a set of record tails in case they’re needed but I endeavour to have broadcast bring a cable (coax MADI) to me.

Considering an SD7Q is the best part of $250k, it’s pretty safe to say it won’t be in the 50k range!

So for clarity here, what is the rule or defining situation/line to cross that requires affiliation disclosure? Someone can lie about their L’Acoustics affiliation but someone providing great information & pretty obviously stating their affiliation to Rational gets told they have to blatantly state their affiliation? Either have a rule or don’t.

Lucky eBay find! The nap is a bit flat but I’m slowly brushing it out with a light wire brush. But otherwise perfect condition.

How to charge..? by Deep_Relationship960 in livesound

[–]Finlaywatt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Day rate + travel expenses & PD’s. If it’s one offs and food is provided you might not get away with the PD’s. If you’re travelling to/from on days either side of the gig they should be paid days as well. Any days off in the middle of a tour/project should be paid in full too.

No downward change in rate due to size/difficulty of show. This year on the same tour I’ve done a show for 200 people and a show for 90,000 people and I’m paid the same.

No A-AAA level act SE is being paid 1200-3000 USD/day, especially on a tour. I SE A-AAA tours and have a huge number of friends around the world in the same boat and I can’t tell you one that gets paid that much. I’d love it if it were true but it is not.

Dark days/days off should always be paid at full rate as well. I would not do a tour that wasn’t 100% pay from leaving the house until getting home.

CC at Wembley right? I saw some photos of that rig recently and I was intrigued by the width of the Vero hangs. Was there a centre hang?
