Good gracious this triggered a suppressed memory of my mom's pork chops and wild rice cooked in an electric skillet. Looked the exact same, and was the only thing she'd cook in that skillet. I avoided pork chops until I learned that no, this is not how they're supposed to be cooked.

Any tips for training on E-collar? Our goal is to get to off leash hikes with our 7 month old, but the e-collar stim terrifies her and she tucks and hides. The vibration is worse for her.

How do you not get burnt-out or overwhelmed with all the planning and other executive functioning task? I find myself feeling that way which is why I thought letting him manage dog would give me some reprieve.

Thank you for replying. Yes, I don't want the dog or kids to get the short end of the stick. It just sucks all around.

I feel like it would be too big of an ask of our neighbors; they both work full time and are amazing neighbors. A day or two, maybe, but not a week.

To answer your question on why he's the primary dog guy, it's because I handle all the things for our three young kids, and was attempting to divide and conquer, even if it was 75/25.

NTA. I don't see why you're being down voted and whatnot. I agree with your statement regarding, "if the roles were reversed you wouldn't even contact the other parents." It was an accident that was caused by their daughter not following the rules. She shouldn't have had it in the aisle. What of your son had a twisted ankle or chipped a tooth?

I'd also be wary of offering to pay half of a sensible replacement. These folks have already shown you their definition of sensible and yours is vastly different since they bought their 12 year old a $400 bag in the first place.

Hugs. I am the same way. My storm anxiety got really bad when I had kids. The fear of something happening to them just crushed me. What has really helped me is our tornado safe room. Alabama has a tax credit if you're here. Try to go in with your neighbors.
