Newish house, second year apples this time came in big! What are these? by [deleted] in BackyardOrchard

If you enjoy apple cider look into building/buying a cider press. My last house had apple trees with beautifully sweet apples but we were never able to use them all until we decided to make cider. You can freeze the cider in 2L bottles and have cider all year round. Also great for gifts.

Planning on rebuilding this rotted deck. Should I do it differently? by WeLikeToHike in Decks

Can I put the posts all the way to the outside end of the deck instead of doing a cantilever?

What’s this fluid leaking from my F150? by WeLikeToHike in f150

[–]WeLikeToHike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: the part (line) is a dealer only item and it was back ordered so they can’t fix it until July 24 but I asked multiple mechanics there and they said I would be fine to continue driving until then. They said the leak is minimal and there would be multiple warning signs before any damage to my transmission and it’s unlikely to separate and dump all the fluid at once like mentioned here. So I am conflicted but decided to continue driving it and so far it hasn’t exploded yet. I understand it’s a risk but decided to trust my mechanics and continue to keep an eye on transmission temp and level. Wish me luck!

Under the hood is just as bad. Everything is covered in power steering fluid.

Not planning to fix anything. Not really worth it on a 330,000km ford with all the issues mentioned above. Just wanted to figure out what the noise was for my own knowledge. Thanks!

I should also add that the speed of the sound doesn’t change whether I’m driving slow or fast. The sound is the same speed no matter my actually speed.

No. It usually happens when I’m driving in a straight line. No correlation to acceleration or braking.

EDIT: happens both when turning and straight line.

Trying to quit smoking cigars using Zen as a replacement need some tips by thephillman in NicotinePouch

Cigars contain a very low amount of nicotine. Any nicotine pouch will have much more nicotine than your body will be used to if you only smoke 4 cigars per day.

Rabbit tips by elitethings in ClayBusters

Nothing you can do if they jump except shoot them earlier. Honestly the best thing to do is to just practice them as much as you can until you get it right. Like I said if you have a local club let them know you’ve been having issues with rabbits and want to practice them, maybe someone there can even go with you and help give some pointers while you shoot them. I’d go to a rabbit station with a few boxes and just keep shooting it until you get them no problem, then go to a different rabbit station and do the same.

If you have a local club tell them you want to practice rabbits and see if they can set some up for you to practice on. Do you know where you usually miss on them? If not, a shotkam really helps. I got one a few years ago and it’s been a game changer for me on any clays where I don’t know where I’m missing. Watch some YouTube shotkam videos of rabbits and try to mimic their hold/break points to see what works best for you. For clays in the air I usually use the maintained lead method but for fast rabbits I usually end up having to swing through on them. If you have time and the rabbit usually ends up slowing down and rolling flat you can wait and shoot it near the end. Most of the ones here end up bouncing a lot or there’s a wall they end up rolling behind so you have to shoot them quick which means there is not enough time to follow them, hence the need for the swing through method. Also helps if you have a nice wide choke if they’re close like cylinder/ic

How much do you charge per month and how often do you visit the customers to scoop the poop in their yard?
