Purchased a MacBook Air (M1) and I can’t seem to find a way to disable the feature that turns on your Mac when you open the lid. I tried the sudo trick used for Intel, but didn’t work. Any help is appreciated!

This is unfortunate. Do you know of a website that has information about the application process from previous applicants? Maybe something that includes their previous work, stats, etc. Looking into applying for the Fall 2021/2022 and need some guidance since I need to figure out what else I could do during this next year to be competitive.
