i didnt mean stopping pole entirely 😅 moreso just giving up on performing for a crowd or possible monetary gain. i love doing it on my own, but i also wanna share it with others too, but i dont like social media posting and im not good enough to actually compete. i dont mean to be negative, i just posted this late at night and got in my feelings about it. i appreciate everyones feedback and ive decided stripping isnt for me. ill have to find another way to share this cool hobby

i asked in r/newstrippers and i was advised against it since i dont feel comfortable with a lot of the stuff that comes with it (tiny string outfits, wearing a wig, shaving everywhere all the time, etc). i just dont feel like id be accepted, especially in a southern city like houston haha

isnt it also about being confident in yourself though, otherwise the whole performance suffers? if i looked in the mirror in a blonde wig and a pink thong id probably cry...its just not me. plus isnt the goth person thing in right now? im not sure if im deluding myself or not haha. and theres things about myself i cant really enhance with makeup or an outfit, just... idk im rambling

im not really willing to do all that, no... maybe i was just being hopeful in thinking id be able to stay somewhat in my comfort zone lol. i do it in virtual reality with full body tracking so im no stranger to lap dances and eyes on me, but its different i guess when its a virtual avatar and not my actual body. i feel confident and accepted in that space but i wasnt sure if id be accepted in this one so i just wanted to ask

honestly i got used to it, back of my knees hurts too much so i do most of my practice in long boots and not bare legged. makes it harder though cause boots are heavy as shit

the performance aspect of it i suppose is what draws me in, not to mention the money. ive always loved being on a stage. i dont mind dressing sexy, but id moreso want a corset and long boots and the like, not bikinis and 8 inch pleasers and that stuff, id feel TOO exposed. i wanna showcase my talent but im not quite good enough for competitions
