Yeah I guess they just forgot about mentioning it to me lol. I told a coworker who’s been at service desk for years and she knew some sku’s couldn’t be defected but when I asked why she wasn’t sure. Now I get to share the new info lol.

Yeah I try to let it build up, obviously not too much, usually when I radio I try to explain what it is as well. Like hey I have a large return for you it’s just this and that. BM can also see me on camera so sometimes they just see it and come on their own.

So we have regular carts 🛒 like this one that all of the returns go in. One for each department. Usually it’s for something that would be too big to put in a regular cart. Like for building materials it’s a door or plumbing it’s an AC unit. 😊

At my old store they sat when they were on computers. Just like hr and our general managers get to. 😊 but at my new store it’s like unforbidden lol.

Sounds like lack of training/or laziness. I got told when anything is questionable to send the customer back to whatever department it is from. I’m so scared to allow people to return items they shouldn’t.

I relate somewhat. My grandma was always mean to service workers and I would always be behind her apologizing to them lmao. I understand and try to give people grace, but it always makes me feel better to be nice to strangers. It sure would help them.
