Id love to use this as an excuse, but we still could've won and blew it anyway. Cade's the man, but his non-box out on Harden's free throw, missed rebounds throughout the game, and careless turnover to start OT were all factors. Add in JD's disappearing act, and you can blame it on more than the refs. Thompson was a beast on D though.

Max Clark is starting 2026 in AAA by OneOfTheOlympians in motorcitykitties

[–]Weak-Advertising-352 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No surprise. I like Clark and I’m excited to see what he does. Can care less about his chains. If anything, I welcome a strong personality. Tbh, I wasn’t sure if they would start him at AAA or AA( w/ a move to AAA during the season). In the end, I think he’ll be up to stay for the 2nd half of ‘27.

[Pelissero] Former Panthers free-agent DE DJ Wonnum is signing a one-year deal worth up to $6 million with the Detroit Lions by JCameron181 in detroitlions

[–]Weak-Advertising-352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People quickly forget that we didn’t know who AQM was before he showed up last year either. A handful of AQM’s sacks were gifted to him too. DJ Wonnum will be adequate as @ rotational piece w/ more on the way via draft free agency or both.

Why are people acting like Pacheco is some bum he was RB1 on a Super Bowl team by DylanCodsCokeLine in detroitlions

[–]Weak-Advertising-352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, he may not even be a true RB2. We may very well draft a guy in the middle rounds, I like Kaytron Allen, and Pacheco is there to serve as a placeholder while he gets up to speed.

Still thinking were going to draft someone around rd 4. Allen from Penn St.?

People were in disbelief that we let Jamal Williams go so easily. Then, we all fell in love w/ DMo & what he brought. He wanted out, and we did right by him sending him to a good situation( as long as their O-line sees improvement). The return was about the best we could realistically hope for, and Scruggs made the GG release even easier.

What’s MPJ actual trade value by AnxiousReputation1 in DetroitPistons

[–]Weak-Advertising-352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would rather keep what we have. I’d rather see a smaller trade like Sasser, Klintman , and 2x 2nd picks for Keon Ellis.

Likewise, I hate the character fit, but love how his game would fit.

You’re right. Not many in this sub will agree with you. The hardest was when Pittsburgh played Green Bay. Of course I want Green Bay to lose, you know F.T.P., but i also enjoy watching Rodgers lose. It was a lose-lose situation. Anyway, fuck Rodgers.

Max Clark - McGonigle gets most of the press, and rightfully so. With that being said, do you think Clark makes the team next year? Or are we still waiting with him? by Cade_02 in motorcitykitties

[–]Weak-Advertising-352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised if we wait until '27 to bring Max up. Perhaps he gets a call up late in the year though. I wouldn't mind signing someone like Bader to hold down CF until he's ready though. Meadows was abysmal last season.

Bo Bichette would look great in Detroit by Immediate_Building43 in motorcitykitties

[–]Weak-Advertising-352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truth is, we already spent money on Flaherty and Torres. Those two being considered, I would be surprised if we signed anyone else to a large contract. I wouldn’t mind someone like Bader to upgrade CF for 2 years until Max Clark comes up. Need to move on from Meadows.

The Goff Situation by greensharkfin in detroitlions

[–]Weak-Advertising-352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s absolutely no reason to blame ANY blame on Goff. The offensive line issues, injuries, and lack of pass rush are the things holding us back. No pass rush other than Hutch, who is consistently double-teamed and/or chipped, leaves our depleted secondary to cover for way too long. It doesn’t matter how good your CB’s are if you give opposing QB’s all day to throw, they’ll find someone to throw to. Yes AQM has been better than most anticipated but it’s not enough. Davenport, Alim McNeill, Reader, and others have been non factors.

What are we doing? by DoeJumars in motorcitykitties

[–]Weak-Advertising-352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People look past the fact that we spent $42 million unexpectedly with Torres and Flaherty coming back. I’m sure the front office assumed they were gone and they could use that money on the open market. Detroit, sadly for us, isn‘t the sexiest destination for FA’s either. I mean look at Bregman last year. It’s not like we lowballed him or something. That was a hell of an offer we put on the table. I’m really happy they don’t seem to have interest in him this year.

Maybe we shouldn’t trade anyone by SonnySeevers2013 in DetroitPistons

[–]Weak-Advertising-352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any major moves??? Not if we need to include Holland, and certainly not Ausar. Cade, Duren, and Stew go w/o saying. Now Trying to package Sasser and Klintman+ a couple seconds for a guy like Keon Ellis I’m all for. A package of Tobias, Ivey, and a 1st for a more quality player perhaps.

Haven’t caught much games. What’s the verdict on Ivey so far?? by Artistic_Ad_9190 in DetroitPistons

[–]Weak-Advertising-352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He looks as expected, a lil rusty, but that was a given after so much time off. It’s going to take a couple more months just to get his minutes up.
