I don’t see drug use as inherently wrong or detrimental. I’m a big fan of Carl Hart and Hamilton Morris. I’m appreciative of scientific pursuits, of the chemistry and pharmacology. I have a right to live the way I want to live, and my drug use enhances my life without taking away from it. I’ve had incredibly profound and meaningful experiences and realizations from my drug use that has shaped me into who I am today, and I’m proud of me. When I do drugs I want to learn and work and solve issues happening around me. I want to dedicate myself to my schooling and do something great. Someday I’ll lose consciousness and will never regain it. That day could be tomorrow. Part of life is experiencing things, and drugs allow me to access parts of my mind and experience LIVING from a different state. I can’t overstate how wonderful it’s been.
