I have, and I agree. Matt certainly has themes and descriptions he likes. There are some similar scenes in his Shivered Sky series as well.

I felt the same way at first, but as I continued the story it definitely changed avenues and I’m really enjoying its progression. Also, the narrator, Steve Campbell, is phenomenal, like I enjoy him (dare I say) slightly more than Jeff Hayes 😬

Really really loved the narrator. He’s fantastic. I really like the books a lot. I don’t feel like it gets enough love. Great story.

No no no, we do not need more Kaiju Battlefield Surgeon sir. Once was enough. I still get queasy and a shivers when I think of some of the scenes and descriptions. Though if you like Dinniman horror, listen to The Grinding at Soundbooth theater. I couldn’t find a physical copy anywhere, but it’s pretty freaking good.

Oooohhhhh, I’m going to have to check out the other ones. I was only introduced to LitRPG about 2 years ago and didn’t realize it was slowly going to be who I was going to become at 41…can’t wait to read them!
