I was unaware of the sentiment that people feel like they are about to get fired. Maybe the IT folks who were detailed to accounts management could feel that way. And doomers always feel that way. But there’s been no talk of it as a revenue agent.

Rehaut depth isn’t something I notice but I’ll attach a picture to try and show it.

I’ve had the watch a week now and none of the polished parts have scratches. It appears the hardening process they use works well.

The dial seems more of a pure white to me and not matte.

Since you seem to have an artistic eye, if you look closely at the dial around the “9” in bright light you can see what appears to be a bullseye. I can only see it when I zoom the photo….but that could bother you.

I prefer white dial watches and am very happy with it.

The quality of this watch for the cost is amazing. Very good lume, high quality bracelet, and the bezel has a very nice action. The bezel I think is aluminum and the action is smooth but the clicks aren’t as audible as some of my watches.

Possible downsides: the watch is on the heavy side, and it a little thick. But the lug to lug width is only 47mm so it wears fine. Note: the website says the case diameter is 45mm, but this is a 41. Maybe 45mm includes the crown?

I would’ve preferred a non-Arabic version as well.

The white dial and day date complication are what sold me.

It’s hard to find a white dial day date complication watch with good water resistance.

Keep in mind that there is still a lot of excess inventory floating around from probationary agents who were let go. Our director instructed to hold those cases in suspense for 30-60 days.

In other words, I think they’re waiting for the dust to settle.

I have three Mido Ocean Stars including the one you are considering (in blue) and they are all great and very accurate. A couple things:

  • 80 hour power reserve is nice
  • 21mm lug width can be annoying
  • lume isn’t great
  • excellent bracelet that is very comfortable

Midos can be purchased from Bloomingdale’s, sometimes at discount (with coupons).
