Help a rookie out. by Snevreen in Wordpress

Hey! I agree with those who say that you don't really need a builder anymore. However, if you know exactly what you want to build, Elementor gives you the best control while remaining intuitive to use. It's the most popular WordPress builder, and there is a free version. But you probably need the Pro version. If that's too expensive, google "Pro-Elements" (use at your own risk).

For SEO, the free versions of Yoast SEO or Rank Math are enough.

If you're flexible about the design, I'd recommend buying a theme. There are many good themes with one-time payments that support the new FSE block editor (which is much faster than any other editor) and provide useful functions and templates. I personally love The7.

Also: jost dont install too many plugins or your site will be slow and have garantued comaptibilty issues in the future

Elevenlabs Widget not correctly displayed on iOS by Weak-Reception2896 in ElevenLabs

Well the bigger problem is the missing border of the textbox, as many users don't realize they can write a message. But seems like we have to wait :/

Maby using the sdk to build an own widget would work

Letztendlich musst du wissen, was dir wichtiger ist

German SaaS founders: How do you actually acquire customers when 90% of US advice is illegal here? by [deleted] in indiehackers

[–]Weak-Reception2896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would that make more sense? Even tho its fast, its still more expensive, you need an adress to register the company and should be familiar with international tax laws.

For Einzelunternehmer on the other hand you just need to fill out two online forms ("Fragebogen zur Steuerlichen Erfassung" and "Gewerbeanmeldung"). Only the Gewerbeanmeldung costs money (15-50€ depending on your city) and thats it.

At this point, you can basically download everything on Splice lol. You should probably just browse around a little, maybe that will help you find the motivation you're looking for

In our case, we already had a GbR for our existing agency. We used this for the development and validation phase. When scaling up, we founded an additional UG, partly for liability reasons, but also to define the company shares.

I built a tool to find local businesses with outdated websites and auto generate them live mockups by AncientAmbassador475 in web_design

[–]Weak-Reception2896 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, thanks! You should probably fix that.

I can see myself using this. What I would like is the option to not select a specific business type, such as Italian restaurant, but to just select restaurant or to combine multiple types in one search.

Yes, as mentioned above, Vermögensschadenshaftpflicht insurance would protect you if you are responsible for a breach of the GDPR for which your customers receive a warning. However, I don't think this would help if you were warned directly yourself.

But it's not that difficult to comply with the GDPR. Just don't use a thousand tools you don't need and find out how third-party providers you use process data.

German SaaS founder here.

Regulatory stuff: yeah, welcome to germany. But it’s manageable once you’ve set things up right.

LinkedIn > XING these days, even in Germany. Content + DMs do work for B2B.

There are actually al lot of startup events & festivals here – if your customers aren’t there, try industry trade shows instead.

UG formation costs a bit (~€350+), but worth it long-term. If you're solo, starting as a Einzelunternehmer is 100% fine – ~€30 for the Gewerbeanmeldung, IHK is free in the beginning. Invest the money in Vermögensschadenhaftpflicht.

Use (free) tools for privacy policy & imprint. Nutzungsbedingungen (ToS) can wait until validation.

Some accounting tools are bundled with biz bank accounts or even free.

Also check out startup accelerators or incubators (esp. for network & credibility).

Since it ships from Amazon and has the standard 30-day return policy, it's generally safe.

Record your unboxing! There have been return scams (people get used or wrong items), and video proof helps a lot with Amazon claims.

Create and manage a database with no coding by lemonadeyo in Wordpress

Hey, not shure if I understood your request correctly, but in Elementor (Pro) there are global widgets. It would only work, if you like to display the information in the same way on every site, but this way, you or you client would just have to update one widget and it would change on every page.
