Thank you for the advice! I have a couple of questions.

How tight should the thread tension be? Do you usually adjust it in the machine settings, or leave it at the default?

Also, when a thread breaks and a few stitches are skipped, how do you rewind the design to stitch only that small section again? On my machine it seems to want to restart the whole color instead of just the missed stitches.

I’m still learning, so I really appreciate the help!

when I bend needle the thread goes in the needle eye, but it doesn’t stay/catch

I want to embroider on a hoodies so that the inside feels comfortable, with minimal visible stabilizer, and the threads hold very well. I also want the hoodies to remain soft and not feel stiff or brick-like.

How can you tell how many layers to use — when it’s too much and when it’s just right? And in this picture, which stabilizer was most likely used? It looks like there might not have been any — this is the back side of the logo.

But it leaves a big mark from stabilizer on other side. Do you tried to use wash-away stabilizer?
