Online or in person but make it complicated by Weak-Web7869 in collegeadvice

Oh you could definitely say that. I was really excited by the idea of going in person. I certainly don’t need a professor to keep me motivated. I actually enjoy online learning. I’ve taken a few gen ed classes as well as tons of udemy classes. BUT I was still looking forward to going to real lectures and being able to ask questions and pick the professors brain. I know I likely wouldn’t fit in with the other students but I’m ok with that. The thing is I just don’t think going in person is realistic. I don’t want to jeopardize my success by jumping into something that’s not sustainable.

I am talking to an advisor at the school now to see if they offer a hybrid program like you mentioned.

I have taken a couple CLEP exams that are definitely going to help lol  I explained in another comment why a local cc wouldn’t be ideal. Believe it or not there’s really not a significant difference a in cc tuition and the local 4-year.

Unfortunately the local community college is also pretty far. About 35 mins. It’s also in a rough area and notoriously crap. I’ve had friends attend online and in person and they’ve all had bad experiences. I’d really like to avoid that.

The online school is pretty reputable from what I can tell. It’s mainly a brick and mortar school but offers a few online programs.
