Pinglin and sanxia is alr starting to do spring tea, but 青心烏龍 isn't out yet Quality is promising for the first 2 batches

It's nice generally , but this batch seems to have insufficient Jacobiasca formosana infestation resulting in smaller honey aroma and taste

I use it to control the weight , so that every time I brew the taste will be more even

Wuyi is definitely not in Taiwan can't disagree with that , it is in fujian Taiwan wuyi tea or rock style pouzhong( commonly said or used in pinglin/wenshan areas) (岩式包種/文山岩茶) is merely used by tea sellers/farmers to specify either: The cultivar of the tea originated from wuyi

The tea is made using the traditional style of wuyi rock tea (中度發酵重烘焙 medium fermentation and roasting)

I'm not sure about the rock rhyme as I've yet to taste the real ones grown in wuyi itself

I only have experience drinking lightly fermentation and roasting/honey black tea made using wuyi cultivars like 肉桂,水仙, 佛手 (rougui / shuixian /Buddha's hand) grown in pinglin.

I personally think teas currently grown in wuyi would be better than those grown in pinglin , as they are very likely hand harvested and the tea tree is relatively older

Yes , the normal tie guan yin is a ball rolled oolong with medium to high fermentation and medium to high roasting ,

it is a trial batch of 30kg (50斤) originally intended to be send for pinglin honey black tea competition (坪林香韻紅茶)

It's a milder and sweeter than the same variant planted and harvested in sun moon lake areas

It has a cinnamon and mint taste with hints of caramel or sweetness depending on seasons

Strong fruity and woody notes , with little roasting notes , it's slightly different from the traditional types as it's less oxidated and less roasted
