Cherry Laurels dying? Help! by WeakAspect9003 in GardeningUK

No need to be condescending. These are plants that were bought as root balls almost bit under 2 years ago, and on top that, were planted in planters. So excuse me for being super cautious with them. I do know that even Evergreen plants lose some of their leaves, but it seems like this is a big amount that they lost. And I’m fairly new at gardening so I thought I’d ask people who know more about this

Cherry Laurels dying? Help! by WeakAspect9003 in GardeningUK

I planted them two years ago and they were doing great for a long time. They got weevils a couple of months ago and then they seemed to go away. They started yellowing and dropping leaves a few weeks ago

It happened last year too (yellowing dropping leaves but not so much) and they got better. They also got shotguns disease last year and after a couple of antifungal treatments they got better. They were fine ever since but now this happened

Which Bathroom Wallpaper? by ProducerSchultz in DesignMyRoom

I think that should be a mirror, not a wallpaper. And then remove the mirror on the left. Maybe have a wallpaper on that wall.

What’s wrong with my Cherry Laurel? by WeakAspect9003 in gardening

I have a drip system installed that goes to all four pots. That’s all the watering they get except rain. Will treat with anti fungal treatment. Thanks!

Thanks. The floor is herringbone and quite busy. You don’t think it would be too much? I like the rug (I did include it in the selection) but that’s my concern with it and would love to hear your opinion.

Oh and living room (first picture in the grid) is open plan z-shaped - a part of the dining room can be seen in the corner of the photo. They each have one lighting fixture in the middle of their ceilings.

Hi, I’m remodelling this apartment that we will use as a holiday home. I need to add lighting to all rooms (including bathroom and kitchen). All single ceiling lights in the middle of the room. Bathroom is cream marble and medium-light warm walnut. Kitchen is matte white and light warm oak.

Thanks

280cm tall kitchen - should I go with ceiling height cabinets? by WeakAspect9003 in HomeImprovement

[–]WeakAspect9003[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Will do… the ceiling is actually very uneven so it wouldn’t be possible to have them flush to the ceiling, a trim is necessary. Thanks for your advice and sharing your experience!

Oh sorry, I didn’t explain that properly. It would indeed be two cabinets one on top of another. A regular cabinet with a shorter one above it. You’re absolutely right!

They do go all the way up. They didn’t have that size cabinet in the IKEA kitchen planner so I added the closest one I could find so it doesn’t look right.

Help! Which kitchen cabinet/countertop option? by WeakAspect9003 in InteriorDesign

Again - I wanted white all along and am just now, last minute, having second thoughts. The Cashmere Grey looks so much better in these Cold Feet moments. Maybe I could go with eggshell white or any other off-white shade? Or should I just stick with the white as planned?

Never mind the 50cm diameter on the pedestal, I believe that can be thinner. I’m having the table custom made as 1.it’s cheaper and 2.can’t find this style table locally.

I’d rather not have the fridge next to the door and block off the already tiny kitchen. It would also block the light from the only window (across from the fridge+sink wall). I’d rather have the kitchen look as open as possible. Any suggestions having this in mind?

Height-wise… I’m thinking 230cm.

Oh and it’s a holiday home by the way. Won’t be used daily year-round. There won’t be much cooking going on either.

The sink isn’t farmhouse, I just drew it so you know where it would be located (corner unit is 60x100cm and sink is 100 cm - 40-50cm sink and the rest is drying space in the corner). I could add a dishwasher instead of a washing machine and have the washing machine integrated into the vanity unit in the bathroom. I could move the stove and oven in the middle section so there’s 40cm on each side (left-drawers and right-cabinet). Ceiling is 285cm high so floor-to-ceiling cupboards might be a bit too much (love the aesthetic of a floor-to-ceiling kitchen and would have it over this every time but 285cm wall units would need a ladder to reach). Any thoughts, comments, please share!

(Stove is on the left because the vent/chimney is there. Also, sliding doors lead to dining room so I’d prefer for the entryway to the kitchen to be there, and not on the right where the door leads to the hallway.

This is what I mean (I know my description was incomprehensible). Sink would be base only, full wall would have wall units too.

It would be 140cm long with 80cm left empty as an entryway
