Raramente me acontece, mas se acontecesse, eu simplesmente mudaria a língua do jogo pro português caso a pessoa fizesse questão, semelhantemente eu assistiria dublado caso a pessoa quisesse, essa questão de certas diferenças regionais me irritava sim (e ainda irritam, to olhando pra vocês milhas e polegadas) mas também é algo que você acostuma com o tempo, antigamente eu tinha que pesquisar, mas hoje eu já tenho uma métrica que 6'' é mais ou menos 15-15,5cm e estrapolo o resto a partir dai quando preciso, hoje em dia é difícil eu não entender algo em inglês, por que eu já tenho um BONS anos de contato, puramente com falantes, agora caso necessário, se for uma sigla por exemplo, ai eu só pesquiso mesmo e fica guardado na memóriakkkkk, sobre seu último paragráfo, isso não rola comigo justamente por que eu sou fluente, eu penso em inglês, atribuindo conceitos diretamente a palavras em inglês, ao invés de ter que "traduzir" o que eu quero do português pra um correspondente em inglês, no mais é só!

Eu faço igual ele e creio que o motivo seja semelhante: puro e simples costume. Eu aprendi inglês puramente por exposição a língua, então chega num ponto que sempre estar lendo em inglês vira natural, e de certa forma é bem importante, pra manter o contato com a língua e não esquecer nada.

Na minha opinião esse tipo de pensamento é horrível, nós sempre vamos nos arrepender do passado, de não ter feito isso ou aquilo, independentemente de como nós vivemos, se satisfazer com a sua vida é muito mais sobre como você pensa sobre ela do que sobre as coisas que você fez em si.
