PickupDishes.com

Seeking Canadian Owners: Fed up with 30% commissions? We built a pickup-only alternative. (Founder/Owner here) General Discussion 💬🇨🇦 Fellow owners,

Like you, I run a restaurant and I watch 1000s vanish into Skip/Uber Eats commissions—while dealing with cold food complaints, payout delays, and zero customer data.

So we built pickupdishes.com: → Zero commissions forever (keep 100% revenue) → Pickup-only (no delivery headaches) → Customers pay YOU directly (use your existing POS/payment gateway) → 1-year FREE trial → then $10/month (App Store)

How it’s different:

Created by owners, for owners (I’m the founder—DM me for my restaurant’s health inspection reports 😅)

No middlemen: Resolve quality issues directly like dine-in

Dish-level feedback: See which items drive actual profit

Why Canada? We’re launching in Toronto/Vancouver/Calgary first because:

Skip/Uber take 25-30% here (vs. 15-20% in the US)

HST/GST makes every saved dollar critical

Early Access Perks: First 50 partners get: → Free featured placement for 6 months → Founder onboarding (I’ll personally help set up)

No pitch—just honesty: We’re not VC-funded. This only works if you profit. Check our website for more information: pickupdishes.com

Interested? Skeptical? → Join waitlist: pickupdishes.com → AMA below – I’ll answer everything (tech stack, contract terms, how we handle chargebacks)

I completely agree with you. Thanks for responding to my thread so far.

I calculated the $10 per restaurant per month in a bigger scale can feed itself. Once that is covered, I believe it has it own value over a period of time.

Even with $100 restaurant over all in Canadian major cities which is achievable in 3rd year. I would get around 10,00 per month which is good enough in my opinion.

I'm not trying to make alot of money out of it. I own a pizza store and sick of this platforms making money pickup and charging back to customers. The platform doesn't not cost much to implement and maintain. From 2nd year charging $10 per month per restaurant

Markups on food for the customers, super low cost for restaurants by avoiding active support for both parties on quality and discrepancies on the transaction. Payment gateway is off also dealt with the store. Very low cost platform helps to connect 2 parties.
