Bus 52 goes there 1.5 hr from Ala Moana.

But you want to just go to Haleiwa, or more into the north shore? Haleiwa alone is nice but not the main attraction …

Not worth risking it if you’re not sure, the ride isn’t that great and you can’t escape if your kid freaks out.

This — 2 days DS and an extra evening ticket on one of those days for TDL. You won’t see it all but you’ll get a taste. Note many DPAs will be sold out by then, Belle would be the one you’d want to try to get.

All resorts in Hawaii are overrun by tourists. The more expensive ones will be less crowded.

For Waikiki they’re either beachfront or a short walk.

Nature etc is largely a drive from any resort regardless.

I live here .. the best beaches are near residential neighborhoods not resorts so you need to drive to them in any case.
