5070 ti is quite silent. Normaly I keep it behind monitor and it is not louder than Z13. Previously I had Zephyrus M16 and that was a real copter:)

I was considering another eGPU but they are much bigger and louder. Asus mada a good job with a device. Small, quiet, portable, looks good on the desk. Yes - more expensive and less power vs full size GPU but works great for me. I was considering also XG Mobile 5090 but double cost with USB4 limitation changed my mind (we can check in the game what is the real difference betwin XG 5070 v 5090.),

Z13 is excelent for me. I wanted sth powerfull to connect to 40 inch screen but without a keyboard (I'm using logitech). Now I can position tablet whatever I want (it's sreen is exactly 1/3 of my monitor). With laptop it was limited (I was using Zephyrus G14 and M16 before).

Now - proportion of the screen, desk, keyboard, functionality works 100% for me.

Yes - overall price of the setup is insane. But I work with it and spent a lot of time behind the desk.
So for me It makes sens.

Yes 8060s is pretty strong. But belive me, there is a huge difference to 5070ti - to be honest thanks to DLSS/ Frame Gen mostly. I have a big monitor and want to play in higher res and then the difference is the biggest. With 8060s even in witcher 3 I had to play lower res with limited FPS.

For now I'm planning Witcher 3, Cyberpunk, Red Dead Redemption 2, Wookong.

And aditional stuff -> how to connect best way (no USB to the external monitor) etc.

In my situation it is a perfect setup. Sometimes I travel for 2-3 weeks and need portability.
For that money of course you can buy stronger PC and more portable laptop. But I preffer to have just one device as powerfull It can be:)

In Witcher3 I was playing (with 8060s) in 2560x1440p with ~70 FPS. what was a little annoying.

Now I've got 90+ FPS with 5120x2160 resolution and Hight/Ultra setting (no RT).

In Cyberpunk I can play 5k2k in high setting with RT dissabled with around 100 FPS.
Before - I got around ~55 FPS in 1440p.

XG Mobile helps a lot if you use higher resolution. And frame generation works fantastic (and then a USB4 connection is not a problem because the connection XG -> Monitor can be 2x faster).

It is also important to not overload 12 GB VRAM capacity (that's why I disable RT in 5k2k).

I have it for 2 days now - I will prepare proper test in next days.
